Updated: Jul 8
Our next meeting will be Wednesday June 28th at 12 noon. We are also celebrating the March of Dimes’s fundraiser Step Up For Stroke. We will be collecting any donations that you may have. Around 12:30 we will have a few speeches from our chair Andy Westcott and our very special guests MP Karina Gould and our mayor Marianne Meed Ward. After cutting off the ribbon, we will go outside (weather permitting) on a short walk around the Lions Club sidewalk. Upon returning to the hall, we will continue with our regular meeting in having lunch. Please let me know if you will be attending as we are once again having lunches from Marilu’s Market. I will send out the link to the health screener on the morning of the 28th. Hopefully for the last time
We will be taking a 2 month break for summer holidays, returning on the 4th Wednesday in September. We will be collecting a family membership fee of $25 at our September meeting.
We have purchased a block of 20 seats for the musical performance Opry Gold. We do still have a few seats available if you are interested. This performance will have round table seating.
I hope you will join us in celebrating the Step Up For Stroke Fundraiser & our last meeting of the season.

A message from Andy Westcott, our President:
"Our annual Step Up For Stroke fundraiser was a great success! Our MPP Natalie Pierre and Mayor Marianne Meed Ward cut the ribbon and we were off walking. Thanks to our team captain Debbie and to our fundraisers and sponsors we exceeded our goal by a wide margin."
Our symbolic walk, planned for outside on the Lions Club property had to be canceled due to the high level of smoke from forest fires so we did one inside in the halls. Here is the walk on the way out:
